SF's sounds are just
out of this world
* SF-Control
THERE'S no stopping local band SF-Control now they're back on the music scene and making a bid for the top.
For after five years off the stage and away from the limelight, Lynda and Roland Alderson and Derek Vann are suffering withdrawal symptoms, and even more eager to keep going.SF-Control, a rock/pop band resembling a cross between early Duran Duran and Yes, were forced to split because one member lived in Scotland and the traveling tore them apart.
Now they're back in full wingand full rhythm and have just pressed their first record - a double A-side called The Sirens and His Masters Ways. "We're really working hard and putting a lot of time into it this time, If people had been indifferent to our music. I don't think we would have bothered. "said 28-year-old Lynda.
"But so many people have said they really like our stuff, it's really given us the drive to make it big".
If you would like to sample some of SF-Control's sounds,you can buy their new record at their gigs.
The next one is Esquires, Greyfriars, Bromham Road, Bedford on June 23.
They play the Lady Owen Arms in Islington on July 14 and The Rock Garden in Covent Garden on July 21.
